Pre-Ground But Tasty

An average pre-ground coffee from the supermarket is a fine-grind size blend coffee. Compared to freshly ground coffee, pre-ground coffee is inferior. But, three simple steps below unveil how pleasing the taste and aroma of brewed pre-ground coffee can be.

15g
Fine
Supermarket pre-ground coffee

Water:

90°C / 194°F
180mL

Equipment:

  1. Set the AeroPress in the standard position, add 15 grams of supermarket pre-ground coffee, and level the coffee bed with gentle shakes.
  2. Pour 135 grams of hot water evenly, stir thrice (3 times) in rowing backward motions, and immediately put the plunger in.
  3. Let it steep for 1 minute, then gently press the plunger until the hiss and dilute the brewed coffee with 45 grams of hot water.
