Long term Aeropress user, recently converted to the XL. I just wanted 400ml of coffee in my mug but the 'wisdom' was that I could use 30g coffee, heat 400ml water brew with the regular AP, then add the remaining hot water to my mug. That worked OK-ish. But you're not getting my XL away from me. :-) Retired out of high tech (many long nights drinking company coffee). Even a bad cup of coffee is better than a lot of things.
