AeroPress Flash Brew
This recipe comes straight from the AeroPress website with slight adjustments. The ratio is 15.625:1 water to grounds, using 40% bypass ice and 60% immersion.
I’ve enjoyed washed and honey-processed coffees more with this recipe; I’ve had a difficult time dialling in grind size and brew time to perform as I want with more acidic natural processes.
I recommend starting about as fine as you'd go for a pour-over and dialling in from there. I start dialling in a new coffee around a 450-micron grind.
Recipe Notes:
- Grind size: I use 11-13 on Timemore C3, around 16-19 on Comandante
- Filters: Prismo or 2 paper filters
- Water: 150g in AeroPress, 100g ice for bypass
