Coffee:
20g
Medium-fine
Medium-light to Medium roasts
Water:
93.3-96.1°C / NaN°F
250mL
Equipment:
- Prep - Place an Aeropress paper filter into the filter cap. Hold the cap by its ears and carefully rinse your filter with hot water.
- Prep - With the plunger inserted just below the printed 4 on the outer casing, stand your Aeropress upside down.
- Prep - Add 20g of coffee to the Aeropress. The coffee should be ground slightly finer than medium coarseness.
- Prep - You will need 250g water at 200-205°F in a gooseneck or fine-spouted kettle.
- Pour approximately 50g of water over 15 seconds. Stir three times. Let the wetted grounds sit for 30 seconds.
- At 45 seconds fill the Aeropress to the brim. This should bring you to the 1-minute mark overall. Stir again.
- Take the wetted filter in the cap and carefully lock onto the Aeropress.
- With the cap firmly locked on, flip the Aeropress and center it atop your serving vessel/mug. Begin to slowly and firmly press downward, stopping at the wheezing sound. This should take about 45 seconds.
- Remove the Aeropress from your vessel, remove the filter cap and push the Aeropress interior a final inch to discard the grounds. Your coffee is ready! Enjoy!
