Dr. Marvello's Medium Roast

This is my first attempt at an AeroPress recipe. Feedback is greatly appreciated!

Recipe notes:

  • Grind size: Fine, almost espresso, I use 9 on Baratza Virtuoso+
  • Filter: Pre-wet double paper filter

Water:

90-95°C / NaN°F

Equipment:

  1. Prep - Pre-wet your double paper filter so it'll stick to the filter cap.
  2. Prep - Add 15 grams of finely ground coffee. (I use 9 on Baratza Virtuoso+)
  3. Prep - Gently shake the inverted aeropress to level the grinds.
  4. Start timer and pour 100 grams of water into the chamber. Try to wet all the grinds.
  5. At 20 seconds, stir twice clockwise and counter-clockwise.
  6. At 30 seconds, add the remaining 130 grams of water.
  7. Put the cap on and wait until 1:20.
  8. At 1:20, flip the AeroPress to a cup.
  9. At 1:30, press for about 45-60 seconds.
