Esprismo - near espresso

The discovery of espresso excellence: with this AeroPress recipe, I've achieved a flavor profile remarkably close to that of a traditional portafilter espresso, complete with a lush crema. The key is in the choice of coffee beans. I prefer dark roasts like Tre Forze or Berserk.

As for grind consistency, I trust my Comandante C40 MK4, which is set at 8 or 9 clicks. And if you're aiming for an even finer setting, the red clicks at around 8.5 might be just the ticket.

Paper Filter

Fine (espresso fine)
South America / Southeast Asia - Dark to medium Roast

97°C / 206°F
  1. Insert the metal filter into the Prismo and place an AeroPress paper filter on top
  2. Screw the Prismo attachment tightly onto the AeroPress
  3. Put the ground coffee into the AeroPress, making sure it is on the side with the paper filter.
  4. Start your timer and carefully pour 50 ml of water at a temperature between 95 and 100 °C. Wait for 30 seconds
  5. Stir the mixture gently to ensure that the coffee and water are well mixed.
  6. Let the coffee brew until you reach either 1:30 or 1:45, depending on your preferred flavor. Gently swirl the mixture at least once.
  7. Slowly press down on the plunger with a steady hand, keeping in mind that this will require some force.
  8. Taste your creation and enjoy the full flavor! ☕🌟
