La Fruta Madre

This method uses more coffee and a slightly coarser grind to get a nice balanced cup with a clear fruitiness.

Works well with entry-level grinders such as Hario MiniMill (11 - 12 clicks).

16g
Medium - Medium Coarse
Light to medium roast

Water:

99°C / 210°F
200mL
  1. Place AeroPress on a server jug.
  2. Quickly pour 200g of filter water (99°C).
  3. Stir gently with the paddle four times.
  4. Place plunger on. Do not plunge.
  5. Start timer. Wait 2 minutes.
  6. Slowly and gently press, for about 30 seconds.
  7. Swirl server and pour. Let cool for a minute or two.
  8. Enjoy the fruity flavours!
