I'd been using the James Hoffmann protocol and was reading about long blooms to improve extraction. Since the bloom is so long, I went with an inverted set\-up so the water would not drip out during the bloom. I think it gives a nice rounded cup with all sorts of roasts.

I use 47 clicks on a 1Zpresso JX S Hand Grinder (30 clicks per revolution), about medium-coarse
I add a tiny pinch of salt to the coffee grounds
Preheat brewer and filter
