Lucky 13

There's a lot of 13's in this recipe, but with so many recipes and ratios this is the easiest way for me to remember everything.

Follow along to enjoy a lovely little warm cup of brilliance (IMHO).

Had tasty luck with Stumptown Holler Mountain (or similar)

Water:

100°C / 212°F
156mL

Equipment:

  1. While 'Standard' assembled with filter in. Boiling water through filter into mug, to warm up chamber and cup to a nice cosy temp
  2. 30 seconds : Plunge down half way to remove excess water. Invert and remove filter holster
  3. 13 grams : coffee (at 13 Clicks on Hario Slim)
  4. 13 grams : water and stir till a sandy soak
  5. 13 seconds : Bathe, bloom and brew
  6. 13 grams : water and stir "for a bit"
  7. 13 seconds : Bathe, bloom and brew
  8. 130 grams : water and stir "for a smaller bit"
  9. 30 seconds : Bathe, bloom and brew
  10. 30 seconds : Plunge! Then go do whatever it is you need to do.
