My Starting Point - An AeroPress Recipe for Any Bean

This is my go-to starting point for any new coffee I try. It’s simple, reliable, and easy to adjust depending on the coffee’s characteristics. Whether you're exploring a bright natural or a chocolatey washed bean, this recipe gives you a solid foundation to tweak from.

Equipment:

  1. Prep - Rinse paper and warm up Aeropress and mug
  2. Prep - Put coffee in the Aeropress and even the bed.
  3. Pour all the water and start the timer. As you pour, you can swirl a bit at the beginning to make sure all the coffee is wet.
  4. Put plunger on to create vacuum.
  5. At the 00:45-01:00 mark carefully swirl the Aeropress to stir the coffee and break the crust.
  6. At 01:30 press for 30-45 seconds.
