The ultimate AeroFrench
This recipe uses a metal filter and the AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap to create a delicious coffee with the best characteristics of both the French press and the AeroPress. There are many metal filters on the market, but the best one by far for this recipe is the one that has a mesh similar to the one in a french press. It’s more effective at filtering fines.
A bit of theory: the flow control filter cap creates an extra pressure that, combined with the metal filter, will push astringent particles from the coffee bed into your cup -not ideal. So we’ll be using the bloom to our advantage to keep these particles in the crust. If you break the crust in this recipe, you'll ruin your coffee. You've been warned.
