V60 AeroPress Hybrid

This recipe combines a pour-over style technique with the AeroPress to create a clean, flavourful cup that’s perfect when I'm on the road. By using two AeroPress filters (without pre-rinsing), it mimics the clarity of a V60 brew while keeping the convenience and control of the AeroPress.

Recipe Notes:

  • Coffee: Medium to Light, rich with some fruity notes
  • Grind size: Medium, #6-7 on 1Zpresso K Max
  • Filter: 2 paper filters, no rinse

Water:

90.5°C / 194°F
300mL

Equipment:

  1. Add 60g water, gentle swirl
  2. Bloom for 20 seconds
  3. Add additional 140g water, before timer reaches 1:00
  4. Slowly add remaining water, up to 300g total
  5. Cover with the plunger, and wait till 2:30
  6. Slowly press over 30 seconds, finishing at 3:00 total
  7. Pour and enjoy
