V60 Japanese Iced Brew (in 3 minutes)

This is a cold recipe

For this recipe you will need 180g of water and 120g of ice (the bigger the ice cube the better because it will melt much slower and refresh the most our drink).

You will need to grind finer than your usual cup of V60, around 500µm, to bring out more concentrated flavors, which will then be diluted by the melted ice.

Equipment:

  1. Step 1 — Bloom

    0:00 - 0:45

    Wet the coffee bed by pouring 60g of water and let it sit for 45” seconds

  2. Step 2 — First pour

    0:45 - 1:30

    Pour 60g of water in circles around the center of the coffee bed

  3. Step 3 — Last pour

    1:30 - 2:15

    Pour the last 60g as before

  4. Step 4 — Resting

    2:15 - 2:45

    Let the coffe rest for a few seconds and remove the V60 dripper

  5. Step 5 — “Ice ‘em up!”

    2:45 - 3:00

    Add 120g of ice (best if in two cubes of roughly 60g each) into your drinking glass.Then take the hot brew and pour it into the glass with ice cubes. Stir and let all the ice melt. Enjoy your iced brew ;)
