No friends, no problem

This recipe produces results similar to my go-to V60 method, but I find it more consistent and easier to control across different beans when using the AeroPress.

It’s a great solo brew—clean, balanced, and perfect for when you're making a cup just for yourself. It fits neatly into one ACME medium taster cup, with a little room to swirl and sip.

Light to medium roasts with fruity or citrusy notes shine in this method.

  2. Prep - Add your ground coffee to Aeropress and level out grounds.
  3. Start timer, slowly pour 25g of 93°C water. Make sure you cover all grounds.
  4. Let it bloom until 0:40.
  5. Stir twice with chopsticks.
  6. At 0:50 pour 135g of water and stir right away five times.
  7. Let it sit until timer hits 1:50. Put filter on and lock it in position. Turn Aeropress over and place it on your prepared cup or pitcher.
  8. Press slowly until you hear hissing sound. Timer should be at 2:30.
  9. Stir and enjoy you coffee and loneliness. (I recommend to wait few minutes until your brew cools down a little bit.)
