No friends, no problem
This recipe produces results similar to my go-to V60 method, but I find it more consistent and easier to control across different beans when using the AeroPress.
It’s a great solo brew—clean, balanced, and perfect for when you're making a cup just for yourself. It fits neatly into one ACME medium taster cup, with a little room to swirl and sip.
Light to medium roasts with fruity or citrusy notes shine in this method.

Equipment:
- Prep - Grind 10g of coffee on medium. Boil filtered water to 94°C and rinse one paper filter.
- Prep - Add your ground coffee to Aeropress and level out grounds.
- Start timer, slowly pour 25g of 93°C water. Make sure you cover all grounds.
- Let it bloom until 0:40.
- Stir twice with chopsticks.
- At 0:50 pour 135g of water and stir right away five times.
- Let it sit until timer hits 1:50. Put filter on and lock it in position. Turn Aeropress over and place it on your prepared cup or pitcher.
- Press slowly until you hear hissing sound. Timer should be at 2:30.
- Stir and enjoy you coffee and loneliness. (I recommend to wait few minutes until your brew cools down a little bit.)
