Semi Pour-over (Upgraded)

This pour-over style recipe was created through some experimentation with a multiple-pour technique. This is inspired by the latest winning V60 recipe of the World Brewer's Cup. 

If you have a Melodrip, use it, this recipe uses a droplet style pour technique to avoid excessive fines migration and to get a more uniform bed.

Coffee:

15g
Coarse, 22 clicks on Timemore Chestnut C2
Light to medium

Water:

92°C / 197°F
230mL

Equipment:

  1. AeroPress in the standard position with a single paper filter.
  2. Add the coffee grounds.
  3. Pour 50g of water and swirl to saturate all the grounds, wait 35 seconds.
  4. Make three 60g droplet style circular pours (trying to focus only on surface agitation), waiting 35 seconds between every pour.
  5. After the last pour, swirl gently to flatten the bed.
  6. At 3:00 min, place the plunger and press slowly.
